Welcome

“A philosophy of culture begins with the assumption that the world of human culture is not a mere aggregate of loose and detached facts. It seeks to understand these facts as a system, as an organic whole.”

— Ernst Cassirer, 1944

About

Background

I am a communication designer with a postgraduate degree in cultural studies. My work is informed by a rich interdisciplinary background in social psychology and political science, business administration and economics. I have a longstanding experience working with not-for-profit and third sector organisations. I served as Deputy Chair for the United Nations Association of Germany Berlin/Brandenburg, and worked i.a. for the German Institute for Foreign Cultural Relations [ifa], the London-based sustainability organisation Forum for the Future and the human rights agency Liberty.

Specialising in communications, web and graphic design, I have previously been involved with the Research group on Lifestyles Values and Environment (RESOLVE), the Sustainable Lifestyles Research Group (SLRG) and the PASSAGE project at the University of Surrey. I am currently leading the communications for the international CUSP research centre and the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Limits to Growth.

I am a Fellow of the Royal Society for the encouragement of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce; and Associate at the Foundation for Democracy and Sustainable Development (FDSD).
